Galaxy W23 Officially Confirmed to Launch on October 21
A few weeks before, it was reported that Samsung had opened the pre-orders for its upcoming W23 series. However, until now, the exact launch date has been unknown. But recently, some industry reports have cleared all these queries regarding Samsung’s upcoming W23 5G lineup.
This afternoon, some authentic sources revealed the Galaxy W23 launch poster, revealing that the all-new Samsung W23 will be released on October 21 at 7 PM (Chinese Timing). Except for the launch date, the poster didn’t contain any more information.
Before going into further details, it is worth mentioning that Samsung’s W series is a high-end flagship series that Samsung has manufactured in collaboration with China Telecom since 2008. However, after the release of Samsung’s foldable phones, the Samsung W series has been revised with its foldable flagship phones.
It is worth mentioning that the Samsung W23 lineup will consist of two models: the standard Galaxy W23 (horizontally foldable) and Galaxy W23 Flip (vertically foldable). The standard Galaxy W23 would be a redesigned version of the Galaxy Z Fold4, while the Galaxy W23 Flip would be a rebranded Galaxy Z Flip4.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy Z Fold4 has the following highlights: 7.6 inches inner display, 6.2 inches external display (both displays support 120Hz refresh rate), Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC, 25W wired + 15W wireless charging, and 4400mAh battery. As observed through previous generations of the Galaxy W series, the standard Galaxy W23 would be available in the highest storage option, i.e., 12GB+1TB.
The Galaxy Z Flip4 has the following specifications, 6.7 inches display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset, 25W fast charging, and a 3700mAh battery. The highest storage variant is 8GB+512GB, and the same storage is expected to be released in Galaxy W23 Flip.
For more information, we have to wait until the official event (happening on October 21).
