This morning, Honor officially announced that its new Honor X40 GT will be released on October 13 at 7:30 PM Chinese Timing. Also, domestic buyers (in China) can now pre-order this phone through different Chinese E-commerce sites.
In addition, the officials also revealed that this model would be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset (one generation old), being sold by Qualcomm as a sub-flagship chipset. In terms of specs, this SoC is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X1 (clocked @2.84GHz), 3x Cortex-A78 (clocked @2.42GHz), and 4x Cortex-A55 (clocked @1.8GHz).
Previously, the live images of the device were also leaked, revealing that the new Honor X40 GT will feature a Single Punch-Hole LCD display with narrow bezels and an expected 120Hz higher refresh rate. On the backside, there would be a circle-shaped camera module that includes three camera lenses.
The listing of Honor X40 on different E-commerce sites has revealed that the device carries a model number: ADT-AN00. The same model number was also listed on the 3C Certification site, which confirms that this model will be shipped with a 66W fast charger (HONOR SuperCharge Power Adapter).
Like other Chinese manufacturers, it is expected that Honor will release the breakthroughs of the Honor X40 GT before its official launch.
