Honor X40 GT is Officially Coming on October 13; Powered by Snapdragon 888

Last week, it was revealed that Honor is looking forward to extending its X40 lineup by launching another model named “Honor X40 GT.” However, until yet, the official release date was not yet been announced. Recently, Honor revealed some major information regarding its upcoming device.

This morning, Honor officially announced that its new Honor X40 GT will be released on October 13 at 7:30 PM Chinese Timing. Also, domestic buyers (in China) can now pre-order this phone through different Chinese E-commerce sites.

In addition, the officials also revealed that this model would be powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset (one generation old), being sold by Qualcomm as a sub-flagship chipset. In terms of specs, this SoC is based on a 5nm manufacturing process and features the following cores: 1x Cortex-X1 (clocked @2.84GHz), 3x Cortex-A78 (clocked @2.42GHz), and 4x Cortex-A55 (clocked @1.8GHz).

Previously, the live images of the device were also leaked, revealing that the new Honor X40 GT will feature a Single Punch-Hole LCD display with narrow bezels and an expected 120Hz higher refresh rate. On the backside, there would be a circle-shaped camera module that includes three camera lenses.

The listing of Honor X40 on different E-commerce sites has revealed that the device carries a model number: ADT-AN00. The same model number was also listed on the 3C Certification site, which confirms that this model will be shipped with a 66W fast charger (HONOR SuperCharge Power Adapter).

Like other Chinese manufacturers, it is expected that Honor will release the breakthroughs of the Honor X40 GT before its official launch.
