Lenovo ThinkPad E14 (Gen5) and E16 (Gen1) Released: Powered by Intel 13th Gen Core and Ryzen 7030 CPUs

At MWC 2023, where every brand is introducing its new gadgets, Lenovo is also one of them. The company has introduced many new laptop models and recently revealed its new models: ThinkPad E14 (Gen5) and E16 (Gen1).

The new ThinkPad E14 and E16 come with the latest Intel’s 13th Generation Core series CPUs and AMD Ryzen 7030 CPU (Zen3 Architecture). The Intel-CPU powered models would be available with Intel-integrated graphics, or the user can also go for the NVIDIA MX550 Graphics option (4GB GGDR6 Dedicated GPU). In contrast, the Ryzen-CPU powered models would be only available in the Radeon Graphics option.

Regarding the display, the ThinkPad E14 Gen5 features a 14-inch LCD Display (with 300nits brightness) available in two resolution options: WUXGA+ ‎(1920*1280p) or WUXGA IPS (1920*1200p). The ThinkPad E16 Gen1 has a larger 16-inch LCD Display with the following resolution options: WQXGA (2560*1600p) display with 400nits brightness or WUXGA (2560*1600p) display at 300nits brightness.

Both models have achieved a 90% screen-to-body ratio and display a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is worth mentioning that the company offers optional touch functionality for the WUXGA screens.

In terms of storage, both models come with 8 Gigs of onboard RAM, and an additional 32GB RAM can be installed to house up to 40 Gigs of memory. In the case of SSD, both notebooks come with 1TB SSD storage and can be upgraded to 2TB as there are two SSD slots (NVMe PCIe 4.0).

Both E-Series models feature Full-HD resolution supported webcams and can be configured with 47WHr or 57WHr batteries.

The all-new ThinkPad E-Series model will be available for sale in June 2023. The ThinkPad E14 has a starting price of around $800 (770 Euros), while the ThinkPad E16 has a base price of approximately $825 (780 Euros).
