Vivo X Fold+ will be Launched Officially on September 26

For a long time, it was rumored that Vivo was planning to launch an upgraded version of the Vivo X Fold. Even in the last few days, an official from the company posted (on Weibo) that a new foldable flagship phone Vivo X Fold+ is coming soon. And finally, the officials have made an important announcement today.

This morning, Vivo (on Weibo) officially announced that the launch event of its all-new Vivo X Fold+ would be held on September 26 at 7 PM (Chinese Timing). As said by the officials, the “+” sign in Vivo X Fold+ denotes “the strong will evolve in a stronger way.”

In the launch poster, it can be seen that the new Vivo X Fold+ has the same design as Vivo X Fold. However, there is a significant change in the internals. Before discussing the internal specifications, it is worth mentioning that a new color option, “China Red,” would be exclusive to this model.

Regarding specifications, the new Vivo X Fold+ will now feature a more powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chipset based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, which comes with lower power consumption than the standard version. The chipset’s super core Cortex-X2 is clocked at a higher 3.2GHz frequency; otherwise, the rest specs are the same as the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen1.

In terms of display, the display size in Vivo X Fold+ will remain the same. The sources also revealed that the primary and cover display will have a 2K resolution LTPO AMOLED Display with an integrated ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

Inside the phone, an upgraded 4370mAh battery has been used (130mAh higher than the standard Vivo X Fold). It also supports fast wired charging at 80W and wireless charging at 50W. In the camera section, we have upgraded camera lenses. The Vivo X Fold features four camera lenses, including a 50MP primary lens, 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, 12MP depth lens, and 8MP periscope lens.

In the upcoming days, the officials are expected to tease all the breakthroughs of their forthcoming foldable phone.
