Vivo X90 Series to Feature Dimensity 9200 and Sony IMX758 50MP Sensor

It was expected that Vivo will start releasing the major highlights of its Vivo X90 series after making its official announcement and things went in the same pattern as the company started posting teasing stuff about the Vivo X90 series on the Chinese social media platforms.

This morning, Vivo officially revealed that the Vivo X90 series will be powered by the Dimensity 9200 chipset for the first time in smartphone history. It is worth mentioning that the Pro+ (higher-end) version will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset as per sources.

The Dimensity 9200 chipset will be limited to Standard and Pro models. In terms of specifications, the chipset is based on a 4nm manufacturing process and consists of the following cores: 1x Cortex-X3 Super Core (@3.05GHz), 3x Cortex-A715 Performance cores (@2.85GHz), and 4x Cortex-A510 Energy-efficient cores.

In the official announcement, it is also mentioned that the chipset has scored around 1.28 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Next, the officials have also revealed that the Vivo X90 series will debut with a Sony IMX758 camera lens along with two independent portrait lenses. The portrait capability is also upgraded which would take the Vivo X90’s photography skills to next level.

As per sources, the Quad Camera setup of the Vivo X90 series will feature the following lens: a 50MP Sony IMX989 Wide-Angle lens, a 48MP Sony IMX598 Ultra Wide-Angle lens, a 50MP IMX758 Depth lens and a 64MP OmniVision OV64B Telephoto lens for a better zooming experience.
