Lenovo ThinkPad X13 Gen4 Series Launched: Improved Design, New Intel and Ryzen CPU

Lenovo, at MWC 2023, introduced many new laptop models and revealed the 4th Generation models of its ThinkPad X13 series. The new ThinkPad X13 improved significantly and now comes with a unique design with a narrow screen frame; the dimensions are also enhanced.

Before discussing it in detail, it is worth mentioning that this lineup includes the ThinkPad X13 Gen4 and ThinkPad X13 Yoga Gen4.

As reported, the new ThinkPad X13 series is available in the following color options: Dark Black and Silver-Gray (already available in the previous generation model). In terms of build quality, the ThinkPad X13 uses recycled aluminum and magnesium material. The Yoga model also features a magnesium body instead of carbon fiber on the top cover side.

The key travel on the keyboard is still limited to 1.5mm, which seems decent. The body’s thickness is reduced from 18.1mm to 15.95mm while the weight is 1.14kg (1.21kg in the previous model). Moreover, the lineup now uses a Reverse Bangs design with reduced screen bezels.

Regarding CPU, Lenovo has only revealed that this lineup would be available in Intel Core 13th Gen (with Intel vPro and Iris Xe) and Ryzen 7000 CPU (with Integrated Radeon Graphics) options. The maximum supported RAM on both models is 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM, while the storage is 2TB (PCIe 4.0 SSD).

The display size is 13.3 inches, with an aspect ratio of 16:10 in the ThinkPad X13 Gen4 series. The screen resolution is available in many options: the base option is WUXGA Low Power IPS Panel, while the top choice has a 2.8K OLED Panel. The option for a touch screen is also there.

The new ThinkPad X13 Gen4 will be launched in Europe in July 2023 with a starting price of around $1,250 (1,190 Euro), while the X13 Yoga Gen4 would have a base price of approximately $1,350 (1290 Euro).
